Have a Question? We have an Answer.

Q. Can I buy Take 5s email addresses and do my own mailings?

A. No. Take 5 does not sell its email lists. We don’t sell our lists because of the liabilities and responsibilities imposed by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.

Q. What makes you different than other data aggregation companies?

A. We are the source, and owner of our database. We double opt-in all contacts, and offer over 275 different data selects, covering over 92% of U.S. consumer households. We also ensure that our contacts are accurate, responsive, and actually interested in the service or product being offered. This is why our records have consistently scored 100% in data quality and 98% in deliverability by third-party industry reports.

Q. Where does Take 5 Get its Data?

A. Take 5’s postal, email and telephone data comes from non-traditional sources, primarily Consumer Self-Response Data which is regarded as the highest quality data. Take 5 also compiles data from; census, summarized credit, the white pages, as well as from managed lists such as catalog and magazine subscriptions, surveys, sweepstakes & lotteries, opt-in sites, and social media.

Q. How does Take 5’s Geo-fencing solution work?

A. Geo-fencing is a location-based service that sends messages to smartphone users who enter a defined geographic area. Take 5 uses GPS or RFID (radio frequency identification technology) to create virtual geographic boundaries. GPS/RFID enables software to trigger a client’s ad within that device and within that space. The service is ideally suited for auto dealers and real estate agencies.

Q. You say a lot of your data is Consumer Self-Reported. How do you know the consumer actually reported it?

A. Every element of our data is reported by the customer-reported or ‘hand-raiser’ data. If they haven’t opted in to one of the many ways we capture the data, then they’re not in our database.

Q. How often should an email campaign be sent out to be effective?

A. The more often that a prospect is exposed to a delivered message, the more likely a response. Consumers need to see your message at least three, and up to twenty-seven times, before taking action. Take 5 Media Group’s experience has shown that deploying at least two email messages per month provides the most effective sales results. Our recommendation is a ‘3-Touch’ email approach deployed to the consumer audience 7-10 days apart, each month adding incremental data (new consumers in-market) whenever available.

Q. What are the best days of the week to send out an email campaign?

A. Mid-Week, Mid-Day: The tried-and-true traditional approach of sending out email campaigns is the middle of the week and in the middle of the day. It’s safe, it’s reliable, and historically slightly higher open rates occur.

Q: I have done multiple campaigns and after day 1, Campaign ‘A’ had 2,000 clicks, but Campaign ‘B’ only had 200 clicks. Why the disparity?

A. All campaigns perform differently. Campaign ‘A’ may have received great traction immediately, either because the subject line and offer resonated well with your audience. Campaign ‘B’ may have taken longer to reach recipient’s inboxes as a result of content, audience response, or ISP filtering issues – causing more of a response on Day 3 or Day 4 of your campaign. This is why Take 5 suggests reports be generated after 7 days, allowing a campaign to complete, and then determine its success.

Q: I received my report and I see it says there were 1200 clicks within my campaign to my site, yet when I look on Google Analytics, I see only 1,000. Why are there different results?

A. Take 5 reports on total clicks. One user might have clicked on the links in your campaign multiple times. Conversely, Google Analytics, reports on sessions.  Totally separate metrics. Therefore the user registers as one session if the clicks are within the same time of engagement.

Q: What are the different channels that Take 5 markets through?

A. Take 5 truly is an omni-channel marketer in every sense. We still use traditional channels such as email and postal (direct mail) but have significantly grown the use of Social Media Retargeting, Native Video, Content Marketing and Geo-fencing.

Q: What type of post-campaign reporting do you provide your clients?

A. Seven days post deployment, Take 5 provides its clients a detailed report (tracking report) open rates, click-through rates, HTML click-through, quantity deployed, inbox delivery rate, as well as the clicks and unique clicks to all the links in the creatives.

Q: Is Take 5’s data HIPAA-compliant?

A. Yes. Because the consumer self-reports the ailments to us, the data is deemed HIPAA compliant.

Q: I see where Take 5 offers ‘Content Marketing’. How can that help my business?”

A. At Take 5, we build content with one specific goal in mind; to generate as much interest from publishers and as many backlinks as possible to your domain. Short term, this drives referral and social traffic from these top tier publishers directly to your domain while getting your brand mentioned on top-tier publisher websites like MSN, CNN, Fox, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, etc. Long term, generating backlinks from these top-tier publishers raises your domain authority, and subsequently your search ranking, which leads to a large increase in organic traffic.
